Inventions in the Middle Ages

Leonardo Da Vinci's drawing of and aerial screw. it is his
drawing of a flying machine. The text is more about propulsion. it is more
of a study not an invention of a flying machine. Some people consider it
the first idea of the helicopter.


Food in The Middle Ages

A tiled picture of a fish by the food market in the Roman Empire. Fish was a proper meal for Roman citizens. The Romans ate a lot of fish because they were surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. Fish and olives were the most popular foods in the Roman empire. Olives were popular because not many foods could be grown in Rome because it Was very mountainous. Most of the roman economy was based on Fishing.

The First Crusade

crusade. Using various weapons such as the crossbow and the sword. They
also use chain mail to defend themselves. Also to defend themselves they
used shields. the first crusade was at Jerusalem. Crusades a holy wars. And
because of the weapons and armor more knights survived.

The Black Plague

The black plague was a horrible disease that killed a lot of people
throughout Europe during the Middle Ages. It came from Fleas on rats. It began in Spain. One in every ten people had the Plague. People thought it was caused by smell so they put herbs in a fake beak on their nose so they would not catch it. They also used blood letting which means you take blood out of somebodies arm to drain the disease away



Middle Age Fashion

Shoes that were worn in the middle ages. Sold to people
by merchants. Kind of fashion in the middle ages. no person could make more money or could make better quality items then other merchants because of the clergy. The clergy made it so every merchant was the same as the other merchants. They had to make the same quality items and make the same amount of money.
